Inventory Valuation
The Inventory Valuation report displays the current on-hand quantity and corresponding inventory value as of the time the report is run, or "as of now".
An option is available to display item-level details, including the complete transaction history that contributes to the item's current inventory balance.
Historical Inventory Valuation
The Historical Inventory Valuation report shows how inventory quantities and values were impacted during a selected period or range of periods.
This report can be used to analyze the changes affecting an inventory item over time. By default, the report displays summary information, with an option to view the detailed transactions that make up the reported quantity and value.
Inventory Transactions by Account
The Inventory Transactions by Account inquiry provides detailed information for a selected account and period.
The inquiry includes:
- Account balance
- Related inventory transactions
- Transaction details within the selected period
This inquiry can be used to review the activity contributing to an account balance.
Goods in Transit
The Goods in Transit report displays information about inventory items that are currently in transit between warehouses.
It identifies items that have been transferred from one warehouse to another using a two-step transfer process but have not yet been received at the destination warehouse.
The report is available in two formats:
Summary
The Summary format displays the quantities of inventory items currently in transit.
Detailed
The Detailed format provides information about each transfer operation and includes a link to the original transfer document for additional review.
Inventory Valuation by Item
The Inventory Valuation by Item report displays the quantity and inventory value for each item as of the end of the selected financial period.
The report is available in two formats:
Summary
The Summary format consolidates inventory across all warehouses and displays one line per inventory item.
Item Warehouse Summary
The Item Warehouse Summary format provides a warehouse-level breakdown of the quantities and values that make up the total for each inventory item.
Inventory Valuation by GL Account
The Inventory Valuation by GL Account report displays the inventory value associated with each General Ledger (GL) account and subaccount, when enabled, as of the end of the selected financial period.
The report is available in two formats:
GL Account Summary
The GL Account Summary format displays the total inventory value by GL account.
This format can be used to reconcile inventory valuation to financial reports and account balance screens within the Finance module, provided all applicable entries originate directly from the subsidiary module.
Item Summary
The Item Summary format provides a list of inventory items associated with each GL account.
Inventory Valuation by Posting Class
The Inventory Valuation by Posting Class report displays the inventory value associated with each posting class as of the end of the selected financial period.
The report is available in two formats:
Posting Class Summary
The Posting Class Summary format displays the total inventory value by posting class based on the posting class assigned to each inventory item.
Item Summary
The Item Summary format provides a list of inventory items associated with each posting class.
If an inventory item has been assigned to an incorrect posting class, the posting class can be updated on the item. Care should be taken when making this change, as it may affect how future transactions for the item are posted to the Finance module.
Inventory Valuation by Warehouse
The Inventory Valuation by Warehouse report displays the inventory value associated with each warehouse as of the end of the selected financial period.
The report is available in two formats:
Warehouse Summary
The Warehouse Summary format displays the total inventory value by warehouse.
Item Summary
The Item Summary format provides a list of inventory items and their associated values within each warehouse.
